Release Management for Sun Microsystems
Sun Microsystems manages many resources that work together in an organized way and constitute an environment. Each resource has software and unique properties that allows it to work with other resources in the same environment. The goal of Release Management is to take instructions from the developer, execute those instruction against the target resource, and document any missing instructions and configurations. Aversan provided configuration expertise, catching developer documentation errors, producing comprehensive configuration documentation, and troubleshooting environmental and configuration issue. Proper documentation ensured these complex systems could be created in new environments and maintained in existing environments.
