CVS Caremark faces the challenge of supporting many application lifecycles each with their own release cycle throughout the year. The application lifecycle involves Requirement Analysis, Design, Build, Test, and Deployment lifecycles. Each phase is captured by a diverse set of tools suited to the activities of each phase. One of the challenges of the process is keeping common information between each tool in sync. Aversan was able to streamline the integration of these applications through process improvements and the use of orchestrations and other product integration techniques. The result of this undertaking is that information is entered only in the applications where users do their work and the information is automatically propagated to other parts of the system used by user groups in their own business applications. The benefit is that users do not need to learn new applications to enter/sync their information, consumers of that information automatically have the information they use pushed to them.
