Software Defined Radio

Aversan provided software design services to Thales Rail for their Software Defined Radio ring coupling/ring protection safety-critical rail system. A scatter-gather DMA engine was implemented between the FPGA and Network Processor.

Aversan also provided fail-over coverage if the link were to be broken or interrupted on any channel or radio The SDR was programmed in C on Wind River’s VxWorks OS.
