Aversan upgraded existing infrastructure, software technology stacks, and user experience of the Wait Times Information System for Cancer Care Ontario, and provided QA services on these upgrades. The overall goal was to modernize the application, and to increase performance. The existing infrastructure was upgraded to a clustered environment to enable capacity scaling, and to sustain high availability service level agreements. Aversan brought industry leading methodologies to modernize the architectural design for the system and meet the reliability goals. Aversan provided analysis, recommendations, and wireframes for a modernized GUI of the WTIS application to improve the look and feel, and to be able to support the latest technologies. The application tier of WTIS was completely upgraded to include modern operating systems, servers, BizTalk messaging, HL7 capacity, SQL Server, and .NET framework. Aversan also introduced test automation procedures during the QA portion of the project, which helped speed up the overall delivery.
