Aversan managed and executed systems integration testing and Safety of Flight (SoF) testing for the Airbus A350 XWB Environmental Control System.
The project involved hardware-in-the-loop testing of safety critical controllers, and automated tool development in order to improve the efficiency of the customer's test lab. As a result, over 2000 internal problem reports were raised as a part of system testing over 4 years - over 95% of the problems identified were legitimate issues requiring immediate remediation.
In addition, Aversan was able to reduce the elapsed time from code release to first flight for the SoF campaign down to 6 weeks, compared to the original projected timeframe of 4-6 months. This reduced test cycle time for the project allowed the customer to meet its scheduled deadlines for the aircraft's first flight.
