On Wednesday, March 27th, 2019, Aversan Inc. proudly hosted Mississauga Mayor Bonnie Crombie at our Mississauga Office in celebration of National Engineering Month and to highlight women working in STEM. Since elected in 2014, Mayor Crombie has worked to better Mississauga and lead the city towards a better future.
At the beginning of her visit, Mayor Crombie was invited into one of our board rooms to receive a presentation by Nathan Nandhakumaran who explained what Aversan is, and what we do. Mayor Crombie learned that Aversan is a Mississauga based engineering company that is a trusted turn-key partner in the aerospace and defence and medical devices industries. She was shown projects that Aversan is currently working on and told exciting plans and deals for projects in the future, which prompted her to say that the company’s work was “very impressive”.
Mayor Crombie was intrigued by Aversan’s pivotal role in Canada’s aerospace and defence industry among over 345 aerospace companies stationed in Mississauga. She was proud of how the work reflected on the economic profile of the city, bringing Tier 1 and 2 companies’ businesses’ to the great city of Mississauga.
After the presentation, Mayor Crombie was able to meet the CEO of Aversan Inc., Ted Sherlock, and discuss the company’s accomplishments and abilities.
Mayor Crombie was also given a tour of our facility, during which she was able to see the challenging projects our engineers are currently working on. This allowed Mayor Crombie to learn about the advanced engineering capabilities that Aversan can offer.
Later, Mayor Crombie delivered a speech to Aversan’s on-site staff. She told the employees that they have done “fantastic work” at Aversan and that Aversan Inc. is a “shining example of the great tech companies we have in Mississauga.”
Aversan Inc. was honoured to host Mayor Crombie this week, and we hope to continue this business relationship in the future.
